The 10th edition of the Iran’s Fadjr International Visual Arts Festival has opened the international section in Tehran.
Inaugurated on Tuesday, the section aims to foster the global division of the event by recognizing artists and art works, talking to embassies for assessment of the ways to exchange art and culture productions with other countries.
To plan and hold visual art exhibitions concurrent with the 40th anniversary of the triumph of Iran’s Islamic Revolution in 2019 in different countries, the international section also works with Department of International Affairs at the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization's (ICRO).
The Visual Arts Center of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the Institute for the Development of Contemporary, the Culture and Islamic Guidance administrations of the provinces, art assemblies and galleries are all set to introduce novel ideas, as well as interactive and innovative artistic productions.
The 9th edition of the Fadjr International Visual Arts Festival hosted a total of 102 artworks in the competition section. Some 125 artworks including 53 art projects and 72 standalone pieces had been sent to the previous edtion of the festival.
Ten foreign artists, from the US, Belgium and Brazil, were also attending the 9th Festival of Visual Arts alongside celebrated Iranian artists.
The 10th edition of the Fajr International Festival of Visual Arts is slated for January 23 to February 23, 2018.
